What is “C95800 Nickel” Material?
C95800 is a nickel-aluminum bronze casting alloy designed for demanding mechanical and corrosive environments. Its alloying system provides a strong combination of mechanical strength, wear resistance, and resistance to corrosion.
Typical applications include pump components, valve bodies and trim, marine hardware, bearings, bushings, gears, and other heavy-duty industrial parts. The alloy is particularly relevant to equipment exposed to seawater or other aggressive service environments.
C95800 is recognized in copper-alloy casting references for continuous, centrifugal, and sand-cast forms, with applicable standards depending on the casting method. ASTM B271/B271M applies to copper-base alloy centrifugal castings, ASTM B505/B505M applies to continuous castings, and applicable sand-casting standards should be selected based on the customer’s required application and specification.
Tough Copper Alloys can support OEM requirements for C95800 castings and engineered bronze components, including rough-machined blanks. Final material condition, casting method, dimensions, testing, and certification should be established from the customer drawing and purchase specification.
