What is “C95500” Material?
C95500 is a high-strength copper-aluminum-iron-nickel alloy used when a cast bronze component must provide a combination of mechanical strength, hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Its alloying system is well suited to demanding industrial components.
Typical applications include bearings, bushings, gears, valve components, pump parts, wear components, and marine or corrosive-service hardware. C95500 is attractive where higher strength and wear resistance are required from a cast aluminum bronze.
C95500 is associated with copper-alloy casting standards depending on product form, including ASTM B271/B271M for centrifugal castings, ASTM B505/B505M for continuous castings, and ASTM B148/B148M for aluminum-bronze sand castings. Heat-treated versions are recognized for applications requiring higher mechanical performance.
Tough Copper Alloys can support OEM programs requiring C95500 castings, rough-machined blanks, and engineered bronze components. Requirements should be quoted to the applicable customer drawing and specification, including casting process, heat treatment, inspection, and certification requirements.
